Annabel Cydney "Ann" Eisenberg (nee Montoya), also called Annie, or Cyd Jr. by her grandpa, while younger, (born June 14th, 2035) is the daughter of Cyd and Naldo Montoya, as well as the ex-wife of Brianna Eisenberg and current wife of Louis Friar Sr. She is named for her grandfather Douglas Davenport's late first wife, Annie Davenport.
Biography[]
Ann was born in 2035 alongside her brother Naldo Jr, shortly after her father sacrificed himself to fight off his own father, Roddissius. Due to the nature of her two children needing protection, Cyd took a backseat from the battle with Lexi, Skylarks, and Ricardo III to look after them both. Annie herself would occasionally provide snarky commentary on situations, surprising the much older members of the team, due to her skills.
During the last year of the second generation team's existence, Annie was the first to surmise that something was wrong with Arthur Marcus and his courtship of her mother. She also heavily enjoyed partying with her family, despite being unable to walk or her thoughts making coherent sense most of the time.
Together with her brother, she became the youngest camper at Kikiwaka when the team gained control of it, not even three years old yet. She was doted upon by her mother, who briefly took care of her in the year 1522, an unpleasant experience. Later, she ended up commenting on how Neville Figgenbottom didn't appear on her mother's future records, and wondered why he couldn't talk, unaware this wasn't an ability shared by all very young children.
Around the age of four, she was enrolled at the Davenport White House Academy, where she excelled as a star pupil, although disliked by Terry Perry for her snarky attitude. However, during her years there, she made it clear the snark was just her desire to be an older age, and her belief that the team should be disbanded. She later began taking an interest in both male and female classmates of hers, although she did not understand at the time.
As a teen growing up in the 2050s, she began to take an interest in martial arts, such as karate and kung fu, as well as ditching her "Annie" nickname. She also ended up enamored with Brianna Eisenberg. When Brianna came out as trans, Ann was accepting, and even suggested they move to a more inclusive environment. They were married in a private wedding at the Gillespie Dojo. Shortly afterward, Ann entered college, studying to be a plastic surgeon.
Although not initially part of the BSSSD, she was very supportive of her brother's job as Bionicstorm, as well as her mother having affairs with people from other eras. Ann helped the team while her mom was trapped in the past, as she had somehow absorbed her mother's time-traveling powers after a recent family dinner. Ann also comforted Cyd when she learned that Shelby Eisenberg had been murdered, saying she also lost a mother-in-law. Later on, she would also complain about not being on the team due to feeling rejected by Cyd, which made Cyd sad, and she decided they should spend more time together. She also ended up helping the team when the Dominators invaded. She also helped her brother with fighting evil versions of his teammates in Andrew Davenport's mind. She also became suspicious of Naldo Jr. and Douglas' strange mission that resulted in them swapping bodies. However, she ultimately understood, and consoled Naldo Jr. when he left the team briefly.
In 2063, Ann ended up being the one to save Scythian Turvil after a freak avalanche, while Leana Duncan went missing. Although Ann tried to save him with her plastic surgery skills, she accidentally caused a malfunction with her shapeshifting power, meaning Scythian took on the form of a male Calderan. Shortly after that, her shapeshifter powers began to fade. However, she masked this disappointment by acting like much more of a party animal than she ever had been. In a parallel timeline, she did not marry Brianna until she was twenty-five, as opposed to fifteen. During Douglas' temporary death, she was hit hard, primarily due to being named by him. She did not want Heather and Barry moving in together, due to not wanting a squicky stepfather relationship with her father-in-law. She soon divorced Brianna, and dated Rex Alley instead, also her mom's boyfriend. Even though Cyd knew the entire time, she did not tell her until Marie confessed, causing Ann to punch Cyd square in the jaw. This soured their relationship, and Ann tried to isolate herself for a few days by checking into Zuri Ross' hospital room. However, she was eventually caught.
Not wishing to be around Rex or Cyd again after the recent fiasco, Ann ended up rebounding and went back to Brianna as a safe spot, surprised that she was adopting an entirely new identity for herself, alongside Marie, living in a retirement home. It was during this time that she bonded with her older cousin John Duncan, trying her hardest to salvage their marriage and not focused on her own love problems. Marie, John, and Brianna agreed that it wasn't a big deal that Ann and Cyd had made such a mistake, since Brianna claimed to have had her feelings for Anne evaporate, and Ann had not talked to Rex in a long time. They set out to tell her and Chase, who John had recently fought with, about the situation as well, but kept constantly missing each other. Flying aboard the Waverider, the group, along with Chase II, considered taking a massive time journey of self-discovery to sort themselves out, but ultimately decided to just hide the ship in Mexico. Unfortunately, as they tried to reach the temporal zone, a time quake beat them back for underusage, breaking the ship. Ann ended up being held at gunpoint by a mysterious modern-day cowboy, part of a crime family taking over Paz's former RV park. However, he was successfully held back thanks to Chase II's efforts, which made Ann wonder if she could see a brave man that wasn't her cousin. Ultimately, she decided on taking the group out for a drink, saying it was on the house for her. However, Ann's minimalistic grasp on Spanish led to her accidentally rooming with some Mexican exchange students named Randy. Thanks to a heartfelt conversation, however, John decided to stay by her side. One day, Randy Sanchez kissed her and Ann enjoyed it, opening up questions about her sexuality. She didn't want to think of it much, and quickly asked John if they could return home. John obliged, although not understanding Ann's true reasoning.
The two cousins returned to the slum of Davenport Estates, but found it incredibly depressing. However, by using one of Donald Davenport's hydra loop technologies that was still in the neighborhood, they were able to reach the Davenport Bionic Academy. Although cobwebby and falling apart, John and Ann found themselves enchanted by the possibilities of what the Lab Rats had done in there, and opted to sleep in the mentor quarters. The next morning, they discovered various knickknacks belonging to their uncles and aunt, including a memory wipe device and Douglas' cornball making machine from when he was on a diet. They also filmed a Star Wars video.
Abilities[]
She inherited her father's shapeshifting abilities, while also preferring to look like a Montoya, rather than a Rodissius, and also had the ability to talk from an early age as a unique power shared with her twin brother. She is also an excellent leader and tactician, which causes her to butt heads with Elaine Russo numerous times.
